“PHOTOGRAPHY AS A PEDAGOGICAL TOOL”

Mitjançant la fotografia com a mitjà d’observació , treballarem dos aspectes molt importants de currículum escolar: desenvolupar una bona capacitat d’observació que afavoreixi l’aprenentatge en diferents disciplines com les matemàtiques, l’anglès, les ciències, la llengua i literatura castellanes… i d’altra banda, afavorir la cohesió social i la motivació d’un alumnat desencantat amb la realitat personal i social que estan vivint.

Un alt índex d’insatisfacció i la necessitat d’obtenir millors resultats acadèmics, ens han impulsat a emprar noves estratègies concordes a les tecnologies contemplades en el nostre Pla d’Autonomia de Centre., que incentivin la motivació de l’alumnat i la cohesió social, objectiu principal del Pla Estratègic del Centre 2011-2014.

Objectius i Estratègies

  • elevar els índexs de cohesió social, motivació, resultats acadèmics a través d’una potenciació de la capacitat d’observar.
  • afavorir l’aprenentatge de l’anglès, eina important en l’àmbit del seu futur laboral.
  • Potenciar l’observació, facilitar la discussió i impulsar la participació a través de tècniques d’observació *fotogràfica, que ens proporciona la possibilitat de revisar el que hem estat observant oferint-nos una segona oportunitat per a la seva anàlisi.

La passivitat és un dels grans reptes que hem de vèncer per a obtenir resultats positius, és important tenir en compte la supremacia de la memòria visual per sobre de la verbal o la manipulativa en la majoria de casos. Podem aplicar la tècnica de l’observació a tots els àmbits educatius. Amb la incorporació dels ordinadors portàtils a l’aula i la facilitat de disposar de càmeres fotogràfiques ( moltes en els mòbils), es pot realitzar l’observació directa i complementada amb les fotografies.

Aquest projecte va incloure 54 mobilitats d’alumnes de curta durada a tots els països membres de l’associació estratègica i de 14 professors. També vam ser el primer centre de Mataró en dur a terme a 1r i 2n de batxillerat  les anomenades mobilitats de llarga durada entre alumnes del nostre centre i l’escola Jonas Jablonskis Gymnasium de Kaunas, Lituània,  de forma bilateral. A dia d’avui continuem formant els nostre alumnes a Lituània en períodes de 3 mesos lectius.

Premi Europeu 2014 

The best eTwinning projects at European level were awarded during the Prizes Ceremony that took place on 8 April, in Brussels. The main aim of the event is to reward the best eTwinning projects from the previous school year, and especially to congratulate the people behind them: the eTwinning teachers and pupils.

Anne Gilleran, Pedagogical Manager of eTwinning, presented the ceremony, which was held in the capital of Europe for the first time. The event counted with the presence of Jan Truszczyński, the DG of Education and Culture European Commission, Malika Benarab from the Education committee at the European Parliament and Isabelle Durant, MEP from Belgium. They all congratulated the winners personally and celebrated their success.

Jan Truszczynski explained that the European Commission is very proud of eTwinning, which “has become an essential part of the new Erasmus + programme”. The Director-General of Education and Culture congratulated the winners on the stage and unveiled the best eTwinning project 2014, the best-kept secret of the ceremony.  This prize is voted among the 3 winning projects in the Ages Categories by the National Support Services from all the countries involved in eTwinning. This year, the overall winning prize went to LYPS: Let Your Passion Shine.

Isabelle Durant, MEP from Belgium, congratulated the winners as well and welcomed them to her home city. Finally, Malika Benarab from the Education committee at the EP, highlighted role of teachers “in the promotion of critical thinking and a safe use of internet”.

More than two hundred participants joined the ceremony in Brussels and thousands of people followed it thanks to Social Media.

Age categories

The main Prizes are sponsored by the European Commission. There are three age categories (4-11, 12-15 and 16-19 years old) and in each category, a European jury chooses the winner and finalist projects. You can learn more about the evaluation process in the eTwinning Portal.

Winners and runners-up in each category were presented and rewarded during the ceremony. On the Videos section, you can watch the summary videos to all the projects, with the main outcomes and testimonies by the teachers and students about their experiences in eTwinning.

LYPS: Let Your Passion Shine, winner of the 4-11 age category, was highlighted by the jury as an “excellent example of best practice and a true collaboration under many aspects”. In this category, Talking Pictures was selected as runner-up.
