A group of 1st year high school students, from Thos i Codina, has made an Erasmus+ mobility to the Ozolnieku Viduskola Institute in Latvia.
It is the second part of the exchange in which we have to visit this town of Ozolnieki, which is located about 40 km from Riga.
The mobility is linked to a project on sustainability and the environment.
During the mobility, activities and workshops related to sustainability have been carried out. The main activity was the construction of a vertical garden.
The students had to design, create and justify their project idea.

Cultural activities were also carried out, such as a visit to the Jelgava Palace, which is currently the headquarters of the University of Technology Studies. We also visited a hydroelectric power station where they explained how they use the water from the Duina river to generate electricity.
Another visit was to the waste treatment centre.
Another day, a guide explained a bit of the history of Riga, where we spent an afternoon.

The students prepared presentations to explain the work done during the week and show us their vertical garden.
Finally, they accompanied us to the airport and back home.
